Course Overview

One stop course description:
Continuation of Arch Design 1 with emphasis on design principles using modeling and a variety of rendering techniques. Prerequisite 32ARTN241.

Architectural Design 2 contributes to two of the TAC-ABET architectural engineering technology program outcomes: (g) an ability to communicate effectively; and (k) an ability to use the techniques, skills, and modern engineering tools necessary for engineering practice. Three student learning outcomes (SLO) are derived from these TAC-ABET program outcomes. A successful student in Architectural Design 2 upon completion of this course should be able . . .

  1. . . . to draw effective representations of designs using professional architectural practices and know which techniques are most appropriate for a given drawing.
  2. . . . to create both physical and electronic models to best communicate designs.
  3. . . . to produce electronic models of designs and know which techniques are most appropriate to apply in a professional setting.
